
#1736 SUPERVISORY ANALYST / NYC for our client, a prestigious
New
York City securities firm.
SA will be responsible for approving
fundamental, technical, and macro research produced by research analysts.
The job requires extensive knowledge of
SEC and FINRA regulations, the ability
to appraise the content of research reports, good editorial skills, creativity,
excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage large volumes of work
in a high-pressure and team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist compliance department as
directed by Chief Compliance Officer.
- Edit and SA approve all
fundamental, technical, and macro research produced by analysts (research
reports, models, emails, and marketing presentations) to meet compliance
regulations and to maintain high editorial standards and productivity
turnaround time. Appraise research for reasoning, construction, and
justification of the analyst’s arguments, pointing out errors and
weaknesses and making suggestions to strengthen the final report. Edit
research to correct grammatical errors and make minor formatting
adjustments. Archive signed copies onsite for three years.
- Keep up with changes to
SEC and FINRA regulations as they
occur.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in an
equity research department of an investment bank or other financial
institution.
- Series 7, 16, and 24
registrations.
- Self-motivated and
enthusiastic, creative and resourceful independent thinker, enjoy working
in a challenging environment, able to deal with different issues and meet
tight deadlines, business-oriented and committed to achieving high
standards.
- Excellent writing and oral
communication skills as well as analytical and quantitative skills,
familiarity with capital markets and the business of research.
- Experience with market data
services such as Bloomberg, Reuters, etc. and proficiency in Word,
Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
