#1774 Director of Financial Reporting for our client, a prominent Washington, DC area Real Estate firm
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the preparation and filing of all financial and SEC reporting for a publicly traded company
- Create, implement and review internal controls and corporate policies and procedures
- Oversee all technical accounting research
- Liaise with external auditors, legal counsel and finance department
- Ensure compliance with firm, NYSE, SEC, and FASB rules and regulations
- Coordinate internal audit and ongoing SOX compliance
- Manage staff
Requirements:
- 8+ years of public or public/private Real Estate accounting experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and versatility to interface with associates at all levels of the organization
- Self-motivated, proactive individual, with strong supervisory/leadership skills
- Strong SEC Reporting, US GAAP and Internal Controls experience
- CPA required
- Yardi experience a plus
